Honeypot
A crypto honeypot is a type of scam in the cryptocurrency world designed to trap unsuspecting investors. In a honeypot scheme, a cryptocurrency or smart contract is designed to appear as a legitimate investment opportunity, often with features such as high returns or promises of security. However, when users try to buy or trade the token, the contract is rigged in a way that prevents them from withdrawing their funds. In many cases, the creators of the honeypot allow investors to deposit funds but restrict or block withdrawals, trapping the victims' money in the scam. The goal is to lure investors in with a false sense of security, and once they’ve invested, they find they are unable to access their funds, effectively losing everything.
Payouts will be made after the DAO system confirms a project has turned its taxes to above 50% or has siphoned off a minimum of 50% of tokens from an insured wallet.
